Thank you for participating in our founder survey on DEI in German startups!   

We are a consortium of a research team from the Technical University of Munich, HV Capital, IHK München und Oberbayern, Meta, and PwC Deutschland with support from the Allbright Foundation, the Startup Association, and VdU. We have all been involved in promoting startups and Germany as a location for innovation for years. The aim of the study is to empirically present the views of female and male founders on diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) in Germany and to find answers to the following questions, among others:

• What importance do founders attach to DEI in general and in their own startup?
• How effective do founders rate measures to promote DEI in general and in their own startup?
• What do founders wish for from policy-makers, investors, and associations in terms of DEI measures?

Before we start, here are a few hints on how to fill out the questionnaire:

• Filling out the questionnaire will take you about 10 minutes.
• For technical reasons, it is not possible to pause the questionnaire.
• The study is for scientific purposes only, and your answers will not be shared with third parties.
• Your answers will only be evaluated in aggregated form and completely anonymously by our research team.
• All information will be kept strictly confidential, and all data will be processed and stored in accordance with the ethical guidelines of the German Research Foundation.
• Participation is completely voluntary. If you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you may skip that question or quit the survey at any time.
• Of course, all data will be treated confidentially and EU-DSGVO compliant.
