The Center for a New American Security (CNAS) Military, Veterans, and Society program is conducting a needs assessment on veterans in southwest Pennsylvania, in partnership with the Heinz Endowments and the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University.  This assessment will evaluate current issues facing veterans and military families in the region, and help inform future investments and actions by the public, private, and philanthropic sectors in the area.

The 5-10 minute survey you are about to take includes a series of questions regarding the economic, educational, health, and other issues facing veterans and military families in southwestern Pennsylvania. Participants will be asked about their backgrounds, experiences, and perceptions, but responses will remain anonymous.  Survey participants will receive no direct benefits from completing the survey, however, survey responses will provide a public service by helping to inform the public, private and philanthropic community of Pennsylvania serving veterans.  Participation is entirely voluntary, and also anonymous; participants may skip questions they do not want to answer.

For any questions about the survey or assessment, please feel free to contact Kate Kidder at kkidder@cnas.org.
